DO NOT climb trees! ” Our girls were told. “A good wife respects her husband,” our mothers were told. Back then, informal education used to hold much bearing in our society. Charity began at home. But these days, parents have no time to advise their children. They are busy with their careers. There is nobody to sit at the dining table with them and teach them aspects of life.

Now that schools have become a student’s second home, teachers and parents should endeavour to teach children moral values. For instance, one can learn a lot of things from the co-curricular activities, in addition to seminars, and counselling sessions at school. Much as some students are bright, they could still be expelled in case they were not disciplined. This means that one’s behaviour matters a lot.

So, the fact remains that mankind cannot live in harmony without informal education unless the Shakespearian quote “fair is foul and foul is fair,” becomes a reality.
