LIRA-A total of 102 unregistered motorcycles smuggled from the DR Congo and Southern Sudan were last week impounded by the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) officials and the Police. URA spokesperson Daniel Arorwa said the owners of the motorcycles were given 30 days to clear their dues and get relevant documentation. Arorwa said the motorcycles of those who fail to comply would be auctioned. He said the exercise to curb smuggling was ongoing.

Residents get farming tips
LIRA-Special presidential adviser on veterinary services Dr John Ricky Akeny has advised residents to practise modern farming to reduce poverty. Speaking to farmers at DJRA Awebada animal drug shop on Monday, Akeny said the National Agricultural Advisory Services would help farmers adopt best practices.
