EXPRESS FC secretary and club caretaker, Kavuma Kabenge has expressed interest to stand for UABF presidency once the normalisation committee announces dates and procedure for elections, reports Silvano Kibuuka.

Kabenge said he picked interest in running amateur boxing after requests from stakeholders who know his ability and personal attachment to the sport.

“I have been in the sport for long as a director in Big Strikers, which is both a professional and amateur promotion firm. I have been behind promoting top boxers like the aspiring UABF candidate Godfrey Nyakana and Badru Lusambya, so I am not a new fellow,” Kavuma elaborated.

The UABF elections had been proposed for August 29 but not yet confirmed, according to NCS boss Jasper Aligawesa.
