Scout drowns in Lake Victoria
KAAZI-A body of a Senior Three student, part of a team of scouts from Hoima district attending the annual scout’s camporee at the Kaazi campsite, was found floating on Lake Victoria, putting a tragic end to the annual event. The 18-year-old Martin Vvubya was cited by fishermen at Busabala landing site on Tuesday evening. Following the incident, the Police have urged teachers and schools to take extra care of students while on such trips.

Government to aid herdsmen
LUWEERO-The Government is set to establish a bulldozer tractor hire scheme in cattle-keeping areas of the former Luweero Triangle to help the herdsmen dig their own valley dams, said state minister for Luweero Triangle Nyombi Tembo. He told area residents at Ngoma on Monday that the Government, through the Luweero-Rwenzori Development Programme, had secured sh60m to fund the pilot schemes in Ngoma and Kinyogoga sub-counties.
