Banyala have their roots in Kenya

Prominent among the Banyala of Kenya were former ministers Peter Habenga Okondo (RIP) and James Osogo. The Banyala cultural institution cannot claim indigeneity in their current area of residence or settlement.

Against this background, a visit by Kabaka Mutebi to Kayunga should not have been politicised to cause unnecessary friction.
