- Patrick Ochieng upset the form book by beating top seed Aojan Orisa in the Independence Day darts championship final in Mukono on Sunday. The Mulago Darts Club kingpin seized the initiative after snatching the first set at Kisumali hall. The top-scoring Orisa, levelled it 1-1 but Ochieng pulled ahead with high precision and never looked back until he saw off the Police darts club ace.
Focus turns to the inter-clubs knockout tournament due this weekend.

Fisheries sweat

Iganga based Namunkanaga shocked Jinja’s division one side Wanyange Fisheries with a 1-1 draw in a friendly at the little known side’s home ground on Kaliro road on Independence day.
