THE information minister, Kakumba Matsiko, passed out 244 cadres during the Entebbe Municipality 47th Independence celebrations. She urged the cadres to monitor the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) and prosperity-for-all programmes.

Kakumba, who was the chief guest at the ceremony, explained that the Government designed programmes to benefit the communities but the beneficiaries were not aware.

She warned NAADS officials against misusing funds, saying they would be apprehended. Entebbe mayor Stephen Kabuye called upon the cadres to use the knowledge they had acquired to help the communities around them.

Kabuye called upon the residents to behave like people who had been independent for 47 years. “Let us stop talking about the many years we have been independent but show it from your behaviour,” he said.
