DO you loathe grocery shopping at the supermarket because of the long queues and the many shoppers? Well, reduce this stress with the tips below. In fact, you will obtain the best produce, meet smaller crowds, get faster service, and cheaper prices.

Try to avoid stores when they are likely to be busiest and shop during off-peak times. For example, consider morning and afternoon hours on week days. You will find parking, shopping and checking out quick and simple.

Besides, during such times, the staff is still fresh, friendly and helpful. Additionally, you will be sure to get fresh items since most supermarkets restock in the morning.

Avoid the weekday evenings and weekend crowds, especially on Saturday, when most shoppers are buying their next week’s groceries. If your only time for shopping is a Saturday, then opt to shop late, for example, after 9.00 p.m. The good news is that some supermarkets like Uchumi and Nakumatt operate up to midnight and beyond. However, the drawback with this is that such shopping hours and the location of such stores may only favour those who have personal vehicles.

Most supermarkets launch their weekly discounts on Wednesdays or Thursdays. So shopping on such days will give you good bargains.
