OFTEN times in homes, there are many items underlooked due to laxity.

After using items such as cups or plates, they develop scratches and stains, where you often drink from and at the bottom.

Proper handling and cleaning with gentle and soft tools like sponges and plastic scrubbers will ensure durability.

Do not place many plates or cups in the sink. Wash a piece at ago using dish soap and warm water to eliminate coffee and tea stains.

As part of everyday care, avoid exposing your china items to sudden temperature changes which may cause them to crack or break.

Always wash your plates or cups immediately after using them for coffee, tea, or acidic foods.

For cutlery, soak in hot soapy water and rinse in cold water. You can also clean cutlery using a bit of salt and a clean wet cloth to romove any left-overs that can stick between fork gaps.

To have healthy teeth and gums, use a toothbrush with firm bristles.

For proper maintenance, let your toothbrush dry out between the times of use to avoid germs and bacteria from breeding there.

Dentists say it is pertinent to replace your toothbrush after every three months.

Keeping your hair clean and healthy requires clean combs.

This can be done using either hot water or baking soda.

You have to remove all the hair from your comb if you are to use hot water.

Once the hair is removed, pour the boiling water into a bowl and add half a spoon of detergent. Put your combs and hair brushes into the water for about an hour.

Take them out and lay them on a towel to dry.
