Esther Mugenga, the sole daughter of Kampala clearing and forwarding magnate, Tom Mugenga, who returned from the USA a few years back and now manages Mugenga’s Voice of Muhabura 88.9FM, was given away (kuhingirad) to her fiancé, Steven Kateihwaho, a manager in DHL last Saturday.
The high profile function, which took place at Mugenga’s palatial home in Muyenga, attracted top notch personalities.
Leading the 80-man strong groom’s entourage was security minister Amama Mbabazi and Agriculture state minister, Bright Rwamirama.
On Mugenga’s side were, among others, Justice Herbert Ntabgoba, businessmen Godfrey Kirumira, Meddie Ssebaggala, Eriya Ssebunya (Kasiwukira), Sam Bitangaro, Bishop Cranimer Mugisha of Kisoro Diocese and Pastor Michael Kyazze.
Pepsi boss, Amos Nzei, was the Mugengas’ spokesman. Mugenga reportedly shed tears of joy. The wedding takes place in February.
