A total of 19 vehicles belonging to Kampala Modernity Limited, a car import firm, have been impounded by the Kampala City Council (KCC).
The KCC spokesperson, Simon Muhumuza, said they impounded the cars on Thursday because they had been parked in a road reserve. He said they took action after the firm, located in Bugolobi, defied a seven-day notice to remove their vehicles.
He added that they had ordered the firm to remove its cars and restore the lawn destroyed but they refused.
