What happened to originality?

I am amused by some of our local television stations and their shameless ability to copy from a new entrant whose name I won’t mention. Take for instance the introduction of late night news on this new station that has been a hit and is being copied by
I am amused by some of our local television stations and their shameless ability to copy from a new entrant whose name I won’t mention. Take for instance the introduction of late night news on this new station that has been a hit and is being copied by the others!
It would be strange if only it wasn’t so sad because it shows lack of creative skill in the programming departments of the copycat stations.
The new station recently introduced a competition to reward its viewers and when I idly flicked through the local channels right there on the scroll bar of one of the copycats was rewarding viewers with television sets! Whatever happened to originality?
