Vision gives vendors end-of-year treat

OVER 2,000 vendors of Vision Group’s products in the central region were treated to a grand end-of-year party on Wednesday at Gaba Beach Hotel.

OVER 2,000 vendors of Vision Group’s products in the central region were treated to a grand end-of-year party on Wednesday at Gaba Beach Hotel.

The party, which is held every year, is an initiative to recognise the efforts made by the vendors in selling the wide range of Vision Group’s products including, leading newspapers and magazines.

CEO Robert Kabushenga thanked the vendors for supporting the company through their hard work. He promised to work more closely with them during the new year for better results. The vendors were urged to work harder to achieve their targets.

The vendors, who reveled from morning till evening, are involved in the selling of The New Vision, Bukedde, Orumuri, Etop and Rupiny newspapers.
Many of the vendors have been selling The New Vision and its sister products since the early 1990s.

Moses Anguyo, a vendor in the New Taxi Park, thanked the Vision Group for giving him a source of income. He earns sh450,000 a month from selling newspapers, he said.

The vendors were promised protective gear for their items on rainy days.
Several local artistes entertained the guests with colourful performances.
They include Mathias Walukaga, Dr. Propa, Desire Luzinda, Sarah Zawedde, Silver Kyagulanyi, Sylvia Namugenyi, Karim Saava, Mesach Semakula and Obsessions.
