THE Uganda Law Society has again petitioned the Judicial Service Commission to interdict Justice Anup Singh Choudry.

The appeal, pending determination of the complaint, the law body said, is in consonance with the law.

“This is in accordance with the provisions of the Judicial Service Commission regulations, and would be in the best service of public interest given the circumstances,” said the petition of February 16 and signed by the society president, Oscar Kihika.

On December 17, 2008, the society asked the commission to revoke or rescind Choudry’s appointment, after getting information that he had been struck off the list of solicitors in the UK in 2000 over fraudulent dealings.
