STEVEN Odongo fired 64 nett to edge his twin brother Silver Opio to victory by four shots in the Moonberg February Mug on Saturday.
Odongo sank in birdies on holes 1, 3, 5 and 11 at Entebbe Golf Club to notch an eight-under-par score.
The son of golf legend Sadi Onito banked his first points of the season. He moved into third position of the sh40m 2009 Moonberg Monthly Mugs standings with 80 points.
Irene Nakalembe (h/c20) continued her dominance with 73 nett to take the women’s mug. She beat Joan Else by one shot.
Nakalembe, who started playing golf 10 months ago, expressed displeasure at the level of competition.
“I played badly but I still won. I am tired of people calling me ‘resident winner’. I don’t want it,†Nakalembe said.
Isaac Adriko was the guest winner with 71 nett.
