Conmen fleecing job seekers !
EVERYONE who goes through an institution of higher learning would wish to get a job immediately after completing studies.
But this is not possible due to the scarcity of jobs.

Some unscrupulous people take advantage of this by targeting fresh graduates under the guise of getting them jobs.
The conmen hang out near offices like in the ministries, private companies and non-governmental organisations. Some even go an extra mile of placing adverts in newspapers and on radio stations.

According to the Police, the conmen ask the applicants for their passport photos, local council letters and copies of their academic papers in addition to money.

The amount of money usually depends on the job one is promised. The conmen tell their unsuspecting victims that the money is to help swiftly process their applications and secure them the jobs. Before the victims know it, the conman has already disappeared and their cell phone switched off.

Much as graduates are desperate for jobs, they should be on the look out for such people.
