EDITOR—I heartliy congratulate the new president of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina who literally spinned his way to the presidency of his country. <br>I am so proud of him.
EDITOR—I heartliy congratulate the new president of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina who literally spinned his way to the presidency of his country.
I am so proud of him.
Although there is a hue and cry about how he took over power, it is just a reflection of what will and can happen when leaders go against the will of the people! Rajoelina had the support of the majority, status quo notwithstanding. I hope African leaders are taking notes!
I don’t understand why the African Union was so prompt in slapping a ban on Madagascar while they were very reluctant to do the same to Zimbabwe when it was so evident that the opposition had won the disputed elections. What double standards!
However we look at it, something does not add up. It is imperative to note that Rajoelina has the citizens’ choice and only time will tell. Well done, Rajoelina, you have shown us the way.
