EDITOR—I appeal to the board of trustees chairman of Lugazi University, Mr. Higenyi, to remember all the free services the university has been getting for the last 10 months from lecturers on regular programmes. I also request him to remember the in-sevice lecturers for May 2008, August 2008 and January 2009 sessions and pay us.
We have been patient enough and can no longer tolerate such deliberate exploitation. It is a very big shame and and we shall soon lay down our tools.
In-service lecturers will not resume duty on April 27 as previously arranged till we are paid. Lugazi’s motto is “Strive for Prominenceâ€. How will this prominence be achieved without paying lecturers?
