Two pupils from Naguru Infant School won prizes when they answered correctly questions asked on safe water. Bridget Arinaitwe, 9, and Harriet Nadunga, 7, were randomly chosen from the crowd by a team from Uganda Health Marketing Group. They won jerricans, T-shirts and plastic glasses.
This was during the celebrations to mark World Water Day at Nakawa Market recently. Uganda Health Marketing Group had gone to the market to sensitise market vendors on safe water for drinking. The girls were asked questions like: “Why do need to drink safe water and how do we keep water safe? Other kids were given a plastic cup each.
