EDITOR—We read with a sigh of relief the pronouncement by the inspector General of Police that bars and clubs would close by 1:00am. This is to let city dwellers have a rest. It would also make it easy to monitor the movement of people and those intent on crime.

Complaints of residents of suburbs like Namuwongo and Kitintale, have fallen on deaf ears.
The noise from bars goes on throughout the night although these places are located in residential areas. These people should be prosecuted and it should not only be during the CHOGM.
