The World Malayalee Council, an Indian-based non-governmental organisation, will hold a global delegates conference in Kampala from November 22 to 24. The council vice-president for Uganda, Chacko Babu, said the Indian prime minister, Dr. Man Mohan Singh, will attend the conference and hand over two health centres in Rukungiri and Kamwenge to the Government.

The High Court on Wednesday sentenced Francis Isingoma, 44, to 10 years imprisonment for killing his neighbour. Justice E.K. Muhanguzi said prosecution had proved that Isingoma murdered Peter Kasigwa. Court heard that Isingoma grabbed Kasigwa, tied him and cut him to pieces.
