THE umbrella body for Premiership football fans — G4, is set to spread across the country, Norman Katende reports.

“For the past, most of the upcountry people have been neglected as fans’ clubs have concentrated in Kampala. But this time, we want to involve all of them and tell them what our mission is,” said G4 chairman Dennis Mbidde yesterday.

The executive will be in Gulu on Saturday and Lira on Sunday, to watch matches with the upcountry fans. Barclays Bank will sponsor the trips.

The local fans will be involved in a football league December 12-16, which will climax with the display of the Premiership trophy at Namboole.

Jamaican music star Da’Ville will perform at the function on December 16.

Barclays Bank’s MD Nick Mbuvi said: “We believe that through music and sports, we will connect the hearts and minds of our Premiership fans and customers.”
