EDITOR—I commend The New Vision for publishing the fallen visionary’s story about Kabaka Mutesa I’s letter to England requesting for missionaries.

EDITOR—I commend The New Vision for publishing the fallen visionary’s story about Kabaka Mutesa I’s letter to England requesting for missionaries.

Mutesa’s letter to Queen Victoria on April 14, 1875 was published in the Daily Telegraph by Henry Morton Stanley on November 15, 1875.

The kabaka requested for teachers to educate his people so that they could be modern and be enlightened about the word of God.

This is the key to present-day education and enlightenment.

It excites me that it is during Kabaka Ronald Mutebi’s reign after 137 years that we can afford to to reward his great grandfather with Mutesa I Royal University.
