THE Ndejje University Angels and Knight Riders face-off this evening at YMCA with either aware there will not be many better chances of winning this season.

The two MTN-FUBA sides gained promotion to the men’s top division last year and will not win against most of the teams they found there. It’s that simple. Therefore, it’s paramount to pick maximum points against each other and hope to stage an upset or two along the way and pray that will be enough to guarantee survival.

“These are the games I have to win,” said Angels coach Walker Obedi. “I will not be able to beat (D-Mark) Power, the Falcons or even (Kyambogo) Warriors.”

The Angels lost by 62 points to Power last week, a result that Obedi blames on governing body FUBA for their “disorganisation” in informing him late about the decision to bring the game a day forward. But he stressed, “We (have) recovered very well and we’ve been working hard”.

“The losses are over (for now), Obedi added, “the Knight Riders, we are going to beat them.”
