Two foreign-based players Gideon Kamya from England and Andrew Irumba from South Africa will join the rugby Cranes next week in preparation for the World Cup qualifying game against Tunisia June 13.

Kamya, who is a tight head prop features for second Division club Brack Nell in England and was part of the 2002 Rugby Cranes team that won the Confederation of Africa Regional Six tournament after beating Botswana 56-7 at Kampala Club.

Kamya is former Hima Impis captain and also played for MTN Heathens before leaving for England while Irumba, a fly-half plays for Wits University club in South Africa.

Coach Yayiro Kasasa believes the two will be an asset to the team if they pass the test.

“We need a prop and fly half”Kasasa said.

Kamya arrivies in the country today.
