LUGAZI - Newly elected Lugazi Town Council LC3 Chairman Asea J.B. Onzuma has promised to work with the ruling NRM party to enhance the interests of the voters. Speaking at his swearing in on Tuesday, Asea (DP) also pledged to complete the town council office, buy a garbage truck, gazzette a cemetry and install street lights. The seat fell vacant after the death of NRM’s Sayid Mubarrak in 2008. His deputy Deo Tumwesigye took over as acting till he lost to Asea in last month’s elections.

Mvara holds OB reunion

ARUA - Mvara secondary school in West Nile will today hold their first reunion of old boys in forty years. The headmaster, Aggrey Tata Izio, said over 600 guests, including Justice Bart Katurebe, state minister in the vice president's office, James Baba and former transport state minister, Andrale Awuzu are expected to attend. The Electoral Commissioner and Ghana’s consular, Tom Buruku, will preside over the function, which the Bishop of Madi and West Nile diocese, Rt. Rev. Joel Obetia will also attend.
