EDITOR—I own property in Bugembe, Jinja. sometime last year, some survey work was done on my land and of several others for the demarcation of where the eldoret-jinja petroleum pipeline is scheduled to pass.

The surveyors came back with ‘valuation forms’ telling us we were going to be compensated and should therefore not develop the demarcated areas. It is almost two years now and we have neither been compensated nor can we develop our land!
