Kampala takeover might be for the better

IT is true that in almost every country there is an opposition government. If there are any that don’t have them, they will do so soon. I therefore turn to the burning issue as to whether it is proper for the central government to take over Kampala.

This plan seems to be strongly opposed but when I tried to make an analysis of it, I discovered that it is mostly the opposition and the Buganda government that are most vigilant.

Kampala has been in the hands of the local government but it seems it has not been managed well by the city authorities. KCC says it has not been adequately funded by the central government.

Who knows, perhaps it might do better when it is taken over by the Government, as President Museveni says.

On the other hand, the opposition thinks this is a move to jeopardise their struggle to take over power because the central government almost has no support in the city. I appeal to the opposition not to oppose for the sake of opposing.
