NATIONAL cricket coach Ebrahim Mohammed says spinners will go a long way in deciding whether his team overcome Bermuda in the Intercontinental Shield four-day match that starts August 17.
Uganda departs for Bermuda Thursday for a ten-day trip that will see them take on the hosts in four matches, including two One Day contests and a Twenty20 game.
However, it is the four-day game that has dominated Mohammed’s pre-tour preparations and the South African tactician has accordingly identified the spinners as central to Uganda’s hopes of victory in the contest.
“Spinners are going to be a key factor in Bermuda,†said Mohammed. “In a four-day game, spinners play a key role.â€
Uganda’s spinning department includes team captain Akbar Baig, his vice Davis Arinaitwe, Frank Nsubuga and Raymond Otim.
