I told her I was very excited to meet her and she said: “Really?” I assured her that I was serious about it and she brushed it off. Her phone rang and she asked me if it was alright for her to take it. I said it was fine. Shortly after, it rang again and she told the caller to call later.

The phone rang one more time; she received it and switched off. I told her to leave it on in case somebody else wanted to talk to her urgently. She replied: “Sometimes it’s necessary to have it off to avoid disruption.”

She said she liked modelling and she asked for my opinion on the matter. I told her it was okay as long as it made her happy.

What did you find impressive about her?
She is an honest girl. She answered my questions candidly.

Any negative aspects?
I guess I could not see them since we were meeting for the first time.

What plans do you have for her?
I shall keep in touch with her and be good friends.

Jokes
He kept me waiting for two hours. By the time he arrived, I had already had my dinner. He apologised for turning up late, saying he got an assignment that he could not abandon.

He was generally good; he kept the conversation flowing. When his dinner was served, he invited me to share with him and I gladly accepted. I also offered to share my beer with him but he declined.

He said he was raised as a Muslim but later became an Anglican. I did not want to go further but he explained that he drinks but was not ready to do it that evening.

A few days later, we met on the street and recognised each other. We exchanged contacts and promised to keep in touch.

What struck you most about him?
He encouraged me to go on with modelling, a thing most people are against.

Anything you were not amused with?
He is a poor time-keeper.

What will you do if he invited you out?
I would undoubtedly go because he is my friend.
