DORCUS Inzikuru makes a comeback to the roads of Kampala with a mission to reclaim the MTN Kampala International marathon women’s 10km title she won in 2004.

It will be the first road race Inzikuru will be competing in at home since giving birth in 2007. She is on a recovery path after missing last year’s Olympic Games.

Inzikuru, a former world 3000m steeplechase champion, is back at home after competing in a series of events in Europe.

The 10km race will be held along with the full marathon, half marathon and the corporate categories.

Activities of the annual show will start and end at Kololo Airstrip on Sunday.
But Inzikuru will have to step up her performance against upcoming Doreen Chesang, Annet Negesa and Annet Chelangat who are all out to mount a spirited challenge.

MTN Chief executive officer Thembo Khumalo is set to flag off the event, which will see the top performers get cash offered by the company.
