Why continue probing John Garang’s death?

EDITOR—I get perturbed by the incessant doubts that keep coming up about the late SPLM leader, Dr. John Garang. The latest of these doubts have been attributed to Dr. Riek Machar who is said to have called for an inquiry into Garang’s death.

Will the report of such a new inquiry make more sense considering the fact that a lot of time has been wasted and more evidence could have been lost? Or is the new report going to bring to light what we have never known? I suggest that the money meant for the inquiry should be used to address a more pressing issue.

Sometimes, i believe that the death of prominent people under controversial circumstances has a lot to do with how they conducted business during their lifetime.
