THE World Taekwondo Federation has asked the Uganda Olympic Committee to investigate cases of office abuse in the local federation, whom they say, have received equipment worth millions of shillings.

The move follows former local Taekwondo president David Mutazindwa, who has since been replaced by Kato Ahimbisibwe, continued communication to the world body and requesting for funds.

The Taekwondo elections took place on September 1, 2007, and were overseen by National Council of Sports official Sam Walusimbi.

But world body secretary Manseek Choe wrote to Ahimbisibwe and UOC to verify some of Mutazindwa’s correspondences.

The letter also asked Ahimbisibwe to clarify Mutazindwa’s position on the new executive. They also want the federation to clarify the availability of the equipment that include a 30-inch LCD TV, electronic scoring system, one control PC, 242 mats and 34 pairs each of Trunk protector, head gear, groin guard, hand protectors among others that were offered by the world body last year.
