Picture made me shed tears

EDITOR—I shed tears when i saw the picture of a young boy crying near his dead mother. The scene immediately brought to my mind the forgotten suffering of the genocide victims in Rwanda in 1994. Much as the African leaders are working hard to resolve the issue which was about the flawed elections
EDITOR—I shed tears when i saw the picture of a young boy crying near his dead mother. The scene immediately brought to my mind the forgotten suffering of the genocide victims in Rwanda in 1994. Much as the African leaders are working hard to resolve the issue which was about the flawed elections, by now the violence should have subsided.
There must be some other underlying grieviences which sparked off the animosity. my appeal to the African Union is to bring an end to this crisis. Seeing people being burnt alive in their houses just because of belonging to a different tribe is simply not human. The two sides need to sit face-to-face and iron out their differences with some representatives from the local people. The crisis must be resolved.
