AN ultrasound scan done at around 20 weeks (five months) of pregnancy or later can determine the sex of the baby. The scan is not a foolproof way of determining the sex.
Dear Doctor,
At what month in pregnancy can I go to the scan to tell me the sex of the baby I am carrying? Joanna
Dear Joanna, AN ultrasound scan done at around 20 weeks (five months) of pregnancy or later can determine the sex of the baby. The scan is not a foolproof way of determining the sex.
Because sex determination is not routinely done, you will have to ask the ultrasound scanner specifically about it.
