KABALE - Teachers have been advised to withdraw money from banks over the weekend because doing it during weekdays interferes with their lessons.

This lowers the education standards in the district, according to the area assistant education officer, Mathias Akeeka. Speaking during a teacher’s orientation workshop at Kabale Primary School, Akeeka said paying teachers through banks had done more harm than good to the student’s academic standards since they spend a lot of time queuing to get money.
