MISSING parental love from childhood did not stop Maria Betty Naggayi from excelling with 23 points in last year’s A’ Level examinations. Naggayi, a former student of Kawempe Royal College, did History, Economics, Divinity and Entrepreneurship.

She attributed her success to God, her auntie, teachers and fellow student, saying they played a role in her emotional, mental and financial well being. Naggayi, 20, is determined to become a prominent businesswoman in Uganda.

Naggayi’s friend, James Wamala, emerged the best science student.

He got 20 points.
