RWANDA’S president Paul Kagame has invited Enterprise Uganda to train graduates in his country in how to become self-employed, writes David Muwanga.

“Kagame, through the Private Sector Foundation, has invited Enterprise Uganda to Rwanda to train graduates and install a programme,” Enterprise Uganda’s executive director, Charles Ocici, said at the closure of a training session on effective customer care at Hotel Equatoria in Kampala.

“We have trained 310 graduates, the majority of whom have started their jobs. In the next few weeks, we are to invite them to give their testimonies,” he said.

Ocici said local companies, whose proprietors they trained and they joined the business linkage programme, were already making super profits.

“We have evaluated the business linkage programme and found that companies have made profits especially those that supplied airtime for MTN. They have made an impact by creating jobs.”
