ISAAC Kisembo grabbed his maiden title at senior level after the Uganda Golf Club Captain’s Prize victory on Saturday.
The 18-year-old, playing off handicap 14, also defied an experienced opposition with 40 stableford points at the club’s par-72 Kitante course.
“It is a nice feeling to win, I would like to improve my game and keep winning,†Kisembo explained.
Kisembo, son of veteran golfer John Kisembo, graduated to the senior level recently after a series of wins as a junior. The former Kibuli SSS senior six student, keen on doing medicine at the university, took up the game in 2001.
The Hima Cement sponsored competition, also had Kisembo’s brother Luke finish as runner up in group C.
Rose Musoke carried one of the ladies awards while Deo Akope took the main crown in the professionals category where sh2m was at stake.
