EDITOR—If NEMA’s guidelines are that the noise from a commercial bar or club should not be heard in the next residence, then it is time to crack down on all the ‘joints’ that have sprung up over the past five years in the suburbs of Kampala.

A good example is the stretch from Yakobo in Ntinda to the former valley point. Nema should enforce soundproof regulations in these places.
