<b>Toro cabinet for approval</b><br>FORT PORTAL-The new Tooro Kingdom prime minister, William Nyakatura, has released a list of 36 proposed ministers to be approved by the traditional assembly (Orukurato) that is expected to sit in Mucwa chambers tomorrow.

FORT PORTAL-The new Tooro Kingdom prime minister, William Nyakatura, has released a list of 36 proposed ministers to be approved by the traditional assembly (Orukurato) that is expected to sit in Mucwa chambers tomorrow. The premier said Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV would preside over the ministers’ swearing in at Karuzika palace after they are approved. “I have consulted widely and selected the cabinet based on my knowledge of their capacities, track records, performance and interest in the kingdom,” Nyakatura added. “I am sure members of the Orukurato will not reject the names.” Meanwhile, Omukama Oyo will celebrate his 16th birthday on Saturday at Karuzika.

Five arrested over robbery
BUSHENYI-Five suspected thugs who have been terrorizing the district and neighbouring areas have been arrested. Boaz Kakuru, Fred Rwentaro, Amudan Nimusiima, Pastor Bashaija and Maria Gorret Nabakooza were picked up last week. The district Police chief, Alfarouk Muyirima, said the Rapid Response Unit recovered an SMG gun with 21 bullets and a pistol with two bullets from the suspects. “They have been using the guns for robberies at night Bushenyi, Mbarara, Kasese and Ibanda districts.”Muyirima said Bashaija, a former Special Police Constable, was servicing the guns while Nimusiima housed the suspects.

Orombi visits Rwenzururu
KASESE-The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Henry Luke Orombi, has visited Buhikira royal palace of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu. The executive chairman of the Rwenzururu recognition council, Constantine Bwambale, welcomed Orombi to the palace and noted that he was the first archbishop to visit the kingdom. Her Royal Highness the queen, Agnes Asimawe Mumbere, asked Orombi to add his voice to the demand for the recognition of the kingdom. The archbishop was accompanied by the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, Jackson Nzerebende, and other diocesan leaders.
