THE City Tyres/Friends of Football U-14 team continued its winning streak on their country tour when they beat Mbarara 2-1 over the weekend.
Owen Majid and Gersomu Wabuyu scored for the tourists, for the victory that followed a 1-0 win over Masaka.
The select side is playing various district teams as they exhibit their football skills and talent.

Palace elects new executive
GARDEN Palace Darts club in Lira on May 24 elected an executive team for a two-year term of office. Benson Ario was elected as new chairman, Tom Onyuti is captain while Walter Odur is the secretary. The polls that drew a fair attendance, picked Garden Palace proprietor Dr. Vincent Owiny as the club patron.

St. Michael tourney due
THE third edition of the St. Michael basketball invitational meet is due June 4 at the school’s courts in Sonde. The event’s organising secretary Patrick Bissingye Beebwa said that every thing is set for the tournament. “We have sent invitations to school teams and the response is encouraging,” he said. The two-day event will have giants Crane High, Kibuli SS, Kings College Budo, St. Peter’s Naalya and Seeta High alongside national boys and girls champions Green Hill Academy and Nabisunsa Girls School.
