Don’t settle for less than the expert’s touch in painting

You have built your house according to the specifications, so do not be tempted to go for cheaper options when it comes to painting. Few people realise that even at this level, one should not settle for mediocrity.

Moses Lubuulwa, a professional painter with a diploma from Durban institute of painters in South Africa, says people have been getting a raw deal when it comes to painting, interior and compound design.

Many people who do these jobs lack professionalism. “A home deserves the best because it is where one’s pride rests. To paint a home is not the same as to paint a shopping arcade or a school. One has to take extra care on the colours chosen to paint the house,” he adds.

“Many people we call painters are not really painters. All they are doing is earning a living.”

Lubuulwa says the outside colour does not necessarily have to be the same as that inside. The sitting room deserves to be different from the dining room and so should the colours in the different bedrooms, he says.

Everyone dreams of a good house in his or her lifetime and one of the things that contribute to this beauty is the colour, type of paint used and the way the painting is done.

He, therefore, advises that before one hires painters, it is of great importance that one gets to know who the experts in the field are, for a better job.
