A TEENAGER, who claims to be a traditional healer, has been arrested over the defilement of three girls, including his 13-year-old sister.

The other victims are aged five and six.
Jajja Juma Luwugula, 19, a resident of Kawaala, a Kampala suburb, was arrested on Friday, a day after he defiled the young girls, Kampala Extra Police spokesman Simeo Nsubuga said.

The Police said, the mother of one of the victims was in labour and her neighbour rushed her to hospital, leaving behind the two girls aged five and six.

“Luwugula lured the girls into his house with popcorn,” Nsubuga told journalists at Central Police Station in Kampala yesterday.

Before defiling the six-year-old girl, he reportedly first defiled her young sister.
When their mother returned, she found her daughters’ clothes soiled and the girls told her that Luwugula had defiled them.

The matter was reported to the Police and Luwugula was apprehended.
But before he was taken to the Police station, his 13-year-old sister told the detectives that he had also been defiling her.

Luwugula reportedly said the spirits instructed him to defile the girls.
Nsubuga warned parents against leaving their children, particularly girls, at home alone.

In a related development, two men are being held in connection with gang-raping a woman on May 30.

The victim was going home when a knife-wielding man accosted her close to Shoprite shopping centre in Kampala
“After being raped by the first man, two others, who claimed to be good Samaritans, also forced her to have sexual intercourse,” Nsubuga said.

Patrick Ogondi, 22, and Yowana Kasita, 18, were arrested over the incident.
