Watch your maids/ workers
It is important and good to have maids and other workers at home. However, the risks associated with the workers at home are also high. They engage in all sorts of
activities including bringing in strangers.

These strangers may either be
their lovers or friends. Once your home has been opened to strangers whose identities you will never know, risks of losing your property are very high.

In fact, in most cases, your items
disappear slowly, one by one, and by the time you realise, you will have lost a lot.

Tips
1. Ensure you know your
workers, including their background.
2. Encourage your maids to introduce their visitors to you.

These may include their relatives or lovers. Encourage them to be open to you.

3. Discourage your maids from familiarising with the neighbours whom they have just met, for they do not know their character as yet.

4. Try to know people in your neighbourhood and identify potential threats to your home. This will help you be on the look out for your maids’ friends.

5. Plan surprise visits to your home at the time the maid least expects you.

Once you have come at such a time, look around and ensure nobody has hidden around; in bedrooms, bathrooms or in the compound.

6. Once your maid has got into the habit of bringing strangers, act fast and find a solution before the strangers rip you of your hard-earned property.
