Nurses urged to join union
MBARARA-Health workers in western Uganda have been urged to join the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union to fight for their rights. The regional nursing coordinator, Sr. Vanice Katusime, said the intimidation of health workers by the public had greatly affected their work. “Much as the Government is trying to solve the work- place problems of nurses and midwives, the staffing norms leave a lot to be desired,” she said on Monday. This was during a meeting for nurses and midwives at Mbarara Hospital.
