Ssessazi now stands alone
- Twelve-year old Simon Ssessaazi is the only Ugandan boy standing in the ITF/CAT U-13 tennis tournament that is going on at the Gymkhana Club in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Ssessaazi beat Mohammed Hamisi of Tanzania 6-3 6-1 to advance to the second round today as he seeks to remain on course to clinch the U-13 title in the tournament that ends this Saturday. Ali Ramathan Hamid of Sudan beat John Collins Abonga of Uganda 6-1 6-4.

The match was played at Pece War Memorial Stadium on Sunday. United captain Peter Oola sealed City’s fate on 51 minutes after William Gabura had converted two penalties on 48 and 49 minutes.
