KIBAALE district education department has received a printing press equipment for printing tests and other scholastic materials. The equipment that was handed over to the internal affairs state minister, Matia Kasaija, on Friday, was donated by Humanity First International, Uganda.

The Organisation chairman, Zahid Inayatullah, who is also the Maulana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Wandegeya, handed over the items.

Kasaija said the acquisition of the printing press would relieve head teachers in both primary and secondary schools in the district from the burden of travelling to Kampala to print test papers.

“Any centre within Kibaale district can now print examination papers,” Kasaija said.

He pledged proper use of the equipment to improve academic standards in the district.

Inayatullah said the printing press would ensure uniformity in examination papers for pupils and students at different levels of education.

“After realising the excessive costs for examination papers faced by students, parents and head teachers, Humanity First Uganda decided to help,” Inayatullah said.

He said the organisation has also supported internally displaced persons in north and eastern Uganda by donating medicine, food and clothing.
