AAR, a health management organisation, emerged the first runner-up at this year’s Legatum Pioneers of Prosperity Africa Awards, reports Wambui Oyulu.
AAR emerged fourth among the ten firms nominated for most innovative businesses in Africa.
“The Legatum Pioneers of Prosperity Africa Awards were aimed at recognising and rewarding the best small and medium size enterprises in emerging markets across the continent,†a statement from the organisers said.
Companies from Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Botswana, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivore, Ghana, Namibia, Nigeria and South Africa participated. The award ceremony was held in Kigali, Rwanda.
