THE “Question of Honour’ fights have left very many questions about Pro Box Scandinavia Promotions’ ability to attract the world’s best boxers to Uganda.

After convincing fans that a Russian and Estonian fighters were on the way to Kampala to take on Ugandan professional boxers, the promoters changed their story yesterday and instead said the foreigners had “chickened” out of the contest.

“We are disappointed after putting a lot of efforts into this fight. We could not postpone this fight any further to another day,” Eddie Bazira, director of Pro Box Scandinavia promotions said.

Russia’s Alexander Saltykov and Estonia’s Sergey Tassimov and IIya Alekseev, were supposed to have fought Peter “Boyz Boyz” Semo, Abdu “Cobra” Tebazalwa and Hassan “The Hitman” Saku today at Lugogo stadium.

Ready to take their places are several unknown Kenyan fighters. Also on card will be singer-cumboxer Bobi Wine, who will “take on” Mohammed Swalley in a four round welterweight contest.

Semo, will defend his Universal Boxing Organisation world light welterweight belt against Andrew Samba, from Kenya while Tebazalwa, will square up with Kenya’s Joseph Akhahonya, as he defends his UBO featherweight title.

Wycliff Muwanga will battle Kenya’s Bob Harrison in a light heavyweight non title contest while Saku takes on Tanzania’s Hussein Chiwa, in a 10 round non title welterweight fight.

Mudde Ntambi fights Kenya’s Elijah Mulingiye. Singer Sylvia Namutebi will launch her new album at the fight night. Sports TV is among the sponsors.
